Aids Wolf
Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Aids Wolf, the new project from Chloe and Yannick, formerly of The Electric End, started: "as a cosmic energy force in the summer of lust, 2002,” at the More than Music festival in Columbus, Ohio. “The words came from the spirits. In March 2003 the energies formed into humanoid shapes and Aids Wolf showed its face to the public." The said humanoid shapes perform as a combo of two guitars, drum and screams with the occasional didgeridoo. The music is pure energy with hardcore, punk and rock thrown in a very noisy cosmic soup. The band likes to think that they sound like a traffic accident, while true on a certain level, like the power involved, the effects are much longer lasting in their case. Somewhere above the paroxysm of sexual heights and raw animalism, Aids Wolf laugh and rock harder. The true measuring stick of the rock band is the stage, and this is where Aids Wolf shines, in good or bad situations alike. Known for their incredible loft shows, they are equally competent at blowing a lot better known bands off the stage. Despite technical problems that made them a one-guitar band for ten minutes they managed to totally destroy any competition in a recent show, and played in the middle of the floor because of they didn't like the stage at the venue. Panicsville

“Panicsville is one man by the name of Andy Ortmann and to put it simply he is the most underrated artist in the rabidly surging noise scene. ‘Perverse’ represents Panicsville’s 24th release, demonstrating Ortmann is not a newcomer to the genre nor is he a flash in the pan. What makes Andy Ortmann so amazing is his ability to traverse sounds and styles. He doesn’t get caught up in genre specific cages. Employing both analog and digital instruments he creates everything from harsh ear bleeders, to hypnotic foot tappers. Unlike many artists in the noise world today, whose albums seem helplessly redundant, Panicsville doesn’t once repeat a theme in his compositions; instead he treats every one as a unique work, and an aural painting to be hung in a gallery exhibition.” (From:

BLOODYMINDED

“'Gift Givers' is the third full-length release from BLOODYMINDED, the group fronted by Mark Solotroff, formerly of Intrinsic Action. Following on from their 'Mothercare' single, 'Gift Givers' lyrically deals with the similar subject matter of obsessive and self-destructive behavior. Multi-layered desperate, pained vocals in English, Spanish and French form a coded web of messages over a violent, aggressive noise inferno that sounds like field-recordings from the apocalypse. Here are some hefty power-electronics that quite frankly kick the crap out of 90% of noise artists who work within similar means of synths, analog tape and basic electronics.” (From:
