Well, that was an ambitious set list to survive, and it showed in the approximately 33-minute long duration of the show. Christ, we should only be playing for half of that amount of time! Even with the more stripped-down gear (e.g. no FX pedals), and all of the Duct tape on everything (especially the battery compartments – thanks, Pieter), we still managed to fuck up the sound for a moment there (its nobody’s fault but mine)… resident mountain climber and acrobat Ed found the one un-taped cord during his gymnastics display…the main power source! We tried out something new (track 8) from the rapidly fermenting next recording (tentatively titled “Magnetism”), along with an old blast song (14) that seems to have never seen a live outing, best as I can remember.

Big thanks to Blake (for setting up the excellent show) and Jason for letting is sweep up and sweep them off on their tour – Good Luck! Thanks to Julia and Adam for the cool hyper-digital start to the night. Thanks to Che for the great sound, and to Mike – and everyone else – at the Empty Bottle for their kind hospitality. A huge thanks goes to Marlene and Vanessa for always keeping one eye to the lens. Special thanks to all of our other friends who stuck it out after a long holiday weekend! Thanks to the brutal Champaign crew for making the drive up. Thanks to the entire front line of the crowd, and especially to those who stepped over the line --- and who tipped us! Thanks to Wolverine Brian for the support and for thinking about the future. Thanks to the Anas and the Mias, good times bad times.
