From http://www.sigillum-s.com/:

While celebrating their 20th birthday, SIGILLUM S are back with a brand new album,“23/20”, featuring the original line-up of Eraldo Bernocchi, P.NG5361 Bandera and Luca Di Giorgio.

This record marks the return to full operational label mode for VERBA CORRIGE PRODUCTIONS and presents a scorching merge of previous SIGILLUM S styles, all crushed together in order to create a drooling sequence of investigations into the covert dimensions of 21st century and beyond…from occult sound rituals to micro groove digital dub, from post hardcore hyper speed to analogue noise metaphysics, from deranged symphonic improvisation to multiple guitar overloads.

“More than ever, fringe culture methods and cutting edge acoustic science mate for the generations of endless layers and bursts of sonic pleasure: voices and drones clans across plans and peaks, fishing for universal tremors and sensorial catastrophes… iconic translations of lost symbols flow like pathogenic lava into temporal sequence and weather forecasts become performances for alien audiences.”

“23/20” also includes contributions from a number of friends, such as Xabier Iriondo, Raiz, Lorenzo Esposito Fornasari, Claudio Agostoni, Bill Laswell, Professor Shebab, S H Fernando/Wordsound, Thomas Fehlmann, Gudrun Gut, ZU, Mark Solotroff, Andrea Maruti and many others.

This new SIGILLUM S work is going to be published as CD, limited edition double gatefold vinyl and limited edition DVD (including special 5:1 audio mix), with each format presenting exclusive tracks and special artwork by Petulia Mattioli aka pmKOMA.

Release date and additional details (including availability sources as well future live manifestations) will be communicated in the next few weeks, mostly through this web site.

“23/20” will be followed shortly by other SIGILLUM S releases on VERBA CORRIGE, bringing to light various unreleased and/or lost recordings from the past: these will include S/M TEK SHI (featuring Mick Harris on drums and to be released in two new configurations [mixed suite mode on CD and unmixed mode on vinyl ]), EPIDEMIOLOGY (the lost 3rd volume of the MALATTIA box set, to be made now available as mixed suite CD) and ITERARTE 93 (a 10” vinyl from a 1993 live concert in Milano).

More as projects enfold...
