From the Empty Bottle website:

MON. 6/19/06 (9:30pm; Free!)

Casiotone For the Painfully Alone
BLOODYMINDED
Oscillating Innards
Pedestrian Deposit
Burn Ward
Wilt

The ‘free Monday’ shows continue and this monster (!!) program will feature live performances by CASIOTONE FOR THE PAINFULLY ALONE, BLOODYMINDED, OSCILLATING INNARDS, PEDESTRIAN DEPOSIT, BURN WARD and WILT. Really, can it get any better than this?

---

Maybe? DJ War Bride also spins in between...

These free Monday shows have been pretty great. Please keep them going by coming out and supporting this excellent line-up, which mixes heaviness, darkness, ferociousness, and avant-electro-pop!

---

Well, it's not a Critic's Choice, but tonight's Radiohead show at The Auditorium Theatre didn't get one, either. Fair enough, since the writer is a declared noise-hater...

CASIOTONE FOR THE PAINFULLY ALONE

When Portland's Owen Ashworth started recording as a one-man band nine years ago, he deliberately kept things simple, relying on nothing but his heartbreak and some Dumpster-dived keyboards. But after deciding he'd "taken his self-imposed limitations to their logical conclusion," he went and found himself some friends to help with the newest Casiotone release, Etiquette (Tomlab). It features multiple producers, piano players, drummers, and flutists, but Ashworth still sounds as lonely as ever. The rest of the bill, in order, is Bloodyminded, Oscillating Innards, Pedestrian Deposit, Burn Ward, and Wilt. -- 9:30 PM, Empty Bottle, 1035 N.
