Status...

- I am busy getting the first batch of orders for the new Sword Heaven single packed up and ready to go. My thanks to everyone who has already purchased a copy of the record. It is off to a really great start!

- Super Eight Loop 65 is recorded and I am duplicating copies now. It is a pretty weird one... I should have the S8L 15 re-master ready in a day or two.

- Tour plans for April are being finalized as quickly as possible. An initial itinerary will go out in the March e-mail update.

- A copy of the poster for next weeks show with Demons can be seen here

Sword Heaven "Piles" 7-inch Now Shipping

The 14th release in a series of private 7-inch singles

I could write volumes about Sword Heaven, but doing this record justice will be difficult. This band just has one of those grips on me. I remember Greh Holger strongly recommending them to me, shortly before he released their 3-inch CD-R. It was not all that long before BLOODYMINDED played a show with them and it was crystal clear why they had been talked up to me so much. I do not know if the term "primal" is correct, or if it is "primordial," or even "primeval." Even when they were new to me, they seemed like they had been around forever. For those who could use the help, imagine "Filth"-era Swans and "Kollaps" -era Einsturzende Neubauten, meeting for a recording session in some horrid, massive factory basement, but only two guys showed up, and they still managed to simply pulverize the hell out of everything. "Piles" is a breakdown from the middle of a live song called "Under the Face," which was recorded in September, 2006. The song is usually only about two-minutes long, but on that night, the breakdown itself lasted for 7-minutes. The band split it into two parts, retaining all of the screaming, the feedback, the pounding, and the scraping.

Magnetism review

From: http://cuthands.blogspot.com/

Bloodyminded - Magnetism [Bloodlust!]
Aaron Dilloway recommended this album and yeah I'm a sucker for that so I didn't hear this 2006 album until now. It's crazy though. It's noise, yeah, but it's somewhat romantic. It has a story even. Check the songtitles
-'Visiting An Ex-Girlfriend In The Hospital - Aids Ward'
-'Girlfriend Announces That She Is Beginning Professional Treatment For Severe Depression'
-'Girlfriend Attempts To Explain Schizophrenic Episode By Revealing Childhood Sexual Abuse'
-'Shotgun Held To Face By A Severely Crosseyed Addict While Attempting To Physically Remove Girlfriend From Known Drug House'
.......and so on. I wonder if the guy is talking about real life experience cos that's heavy shit right there. The sounds are equally FUCKED UP. There's the screams, the piercing effects, sawing your limbs off drones. It's nowhere near what you might expect if you never heard noise, or just once listened to Merzbow and decided it was crap. It might even be moving.

Electro-Death Suite

There is a copy of the Intrinsic Action "Electro-Death Suite" bootleg CD on eBay right now. The same seller also has a copy of the rare Iugula-Thor "Forced Flesh" CD.
