The Fortieth Day LP tests approved

Isidro and I just completed an intense afternoon of appraising the test pressing for The Fortieth Day "Syria: 638 AD" LP on Diophantine Discs. The album is a total bass-monster. Jesus! We sent along our approval to the label, so now the race is on to complete it in time for the June 7th show. I believe that the covers are already printed and that the die-cutting is underway...

OUT NOW: B!108 Sigillum S "Terror Auto-Obstetrics" CD EP

BloodLust! New Release - Now Shipping:

Artist: Sigillum S
Title: "Terror Auto-Obstetrics"
Format: CD in jewelbox
Catalog Number: BloodLust! 108
Genre: Industrial / Experimental / Minimal Synth

I am really pleased to release this disc, to coincide with the very first USA Sigillum S show in the bands 20+ year history, to be held on June 7, 2008; This EP pulls together, for the first time, four songs released on AWB Recordings: "Terror Auto-Obstetrics" and "Transkathartick Endoscopy" [both from their 1990 7-inch], "Suck Inside Thee Ov Bulb" [from the 1988 "Effete" compilation cassette], and "Purulence Peaks, Hairy Knobs, And Death Disturbances" [from the 1991 "Private Thoughts" compilation cassette]; The tracks were re-mastered for this archival release by band member Eraldo Bernocchi, while P.NG5361.B [AKA Sshe Retina Stimulants] oversaw the project's development; The cover art is meant to suggest the style of the original 7-inch sleeve; Professionally duplicated CD, single panel, double-sided insert; color artwork; in jewel box with shrinkwrap; Released in 2008

Related bands with releases on BloodLust!: Iugula-Thor, The Sodality, Sshe Retina Stimulants

From http://www.myspace.com/sigillums: Since 1985, Eraldo Bernocchi, P.NG5361.B, and Luca Di Giorgio (as well as a long list of friends and collaborators), have been working as Sigillum S, an Italian post-industrial audio project of many different natures, where concepts have led the effort and employed sound as a tool for the exploration of the forbidden areas of the subconscious: the result has been a endless paradigm of alien electronic mutations, merging concrete noise research with acoustic transmigration, while visuals and many other forms of media have been also adopted, in order to achieve maximum interaction intensity.

From http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sigillum+S: Formed in Milan on 23 December 1985 by Paolo Bandera, Eraldo Bernocchi, and Luca Di Giorgio. Their unique sound is derived from the use of a variety of instruments, ranging from samplers to ethnic instruments, and guitar synths to shortwave generators. In addition to their extensive musical output, Sigillum S also works in the areas of visual art and text.

Tracklisting:
1. "Terror Auto-Obstetrics" (6:00)
2. "Transkathartick Endoscopy" (6:55)
3. "Suck Inside Thee Ov Bulb" (7:53)
4. "Purulence Peaks, Hairy Knobs, And Death Disturbances" (6:50)

Exoteric

I just completed and returned a long - and long-overdue - interview for Exoteric. I guess that it will be up pretty soon. Now I guess that I owe Blake something, ASAP.

It was a busy weekend of Animal Law activity. Thanks to those who tuned in on Friday and/or who came to see us on Saturday... and thanks, especially, to everyone at WHPK, who brought us in for both shows, who fed us and kept us from becoming thirsty, and who helped us carry all of our god damned gear! Photos should be up on Flickr, within a day, or two. Thanks to Lori, for snapping the pix!

All outstanding mail-order and eBay packages were sent out on Friday. Slogun CDs should be starting to arrive at distro points by now. The Atrax Morgue 7-inch is now SOLD OUT. Thanks to those who grabbed the last copies.
