OUT NOW: B!112 Sleep Museum "Replica" CD EP

BloodLust! New Release - Now Shipping:

Artist: Sleep Museum
Format: CD in jewelbox
Catalog Number: BloodLust! 112
Genre: Industrial /
Minimal Synth / Experimental

The third disc in a short series of EPs; Easily, one of my favorite artists of the last couple of years; Five tracks of rhythmic, darkly melodic synth- and drum machine-driven TRUE MINIMAL SYNTH music, with unrepentantly eccentric vocals, and dour lyrics; Utterly contemporary, yet also reminiscent of certain late-1970s and early-1980s "cold" music - a hint of Joy Division mood and a dose of electronic-era Death in June; The sixth track is a 32-minute long experimental analog synth piece, far closer to the M.B. -style of dark electronics; We are calling this an EP, even though it clocks in at over 57-minutes; Professionally duplicated CD, single panel, double-sided insert; color artwork; in jewel box with shrinkwrap; Released in 2008

(Note: Sleep Museum also has two songs on the just-released "Wierd Compilation Vol.II : Analogue Electronic Music 2008" four-LP set:

1. Body In Question (5:17)
2. In Times Of Persistence, Pain (6:25)
3. None But This (4:34)
4. Recombinate (4:38)
5. Tar (4:10)
6. In Time (32:14)

Envenomist "Hidden" Update

The CD re-issue (B!105) of the Envenomist "Hidden" cassette (B!071) was expected to be released to coincide with the Sigillum S show, on Saturday June 7, at which Envenomist is performing. After ongoing discussion about the sound quality, Greh Holger has been recruited to re-master the original recording. We have decided to postpone the release until July 2008. Initial listens to what Greh is doing indicate that it will be well worth the wait!

OUT NOW: B!114 The Fortieth Day "IV" CD

BloodLust! New Release - Out Now:

Artist: The Fortieth Day
Title: "IV"
Format: CD
Catalog Number: BloodLust! 114
Genre: Noise / Experimental / Industrial

CD edition of out-of-print cassette, originally released in a numbered edition of 50 copies in 2007; The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the power-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a unit known for its confrontational live shows. Here, Solotroff and Reyes show off their kinder, gentler side, using guitar, bass, and synth to improvise "sustained, withering blasts of high-pitched noise that are as distinct from one another as spotlights sweeping across the night sky; jackhammer clatter, jet-engine whines, and forlorn keyboard melodies dart in and out of those huge sounds with the grace and impunity of plovers picking a crocodile's teeth" [Bill Meyer, Chicago Reader]. Professionally duplicated CD, single panel, double-sided insert; black and white artwork; in jewel box with shrinkwrap; Released in 2008

Price: $14.00 USA/$16.00 Canada+Mexico/$18.00 Rest of World @ postpaid

Sleep Museum EP3

The test copy of the third Sleep Museum release in the EP series has arrived and it sounds great. Robert seems to have developed the long analog synth track for this one in a slightly different way than on the first two discs, which is pretty exciting. They should be available in about a week, or so...
