Boston 8 - Festivals

I was thinking about how cool it was for BLOODYMINDED to play both the Northeast Noise & Power Electronics Festival ll and the Matchitehew Assembly this year, especially since we only played two other shows in 2009 (Keiji Haino and Tony Conrad in April + the Rococo Records event in October). The curatorial side of both festivals resulted in excellent selections of artists, which further resulted in my own need/desire to step it up for both of our performances. Previous trips out to New York to play No Fun Fest in 2005 and 2006 and last year's festival in Boston have had a similar effect on me. Certainly, every show gets my full attention and effort, but I do like how these events up the ante...
