What a night! Biggest crowd ever there, I guess. Sure, the quantity over quality thing can be discussed, , but I totally enjoyed the general atmosphere of the night... and I was pretty amazed that when Envenomist went on, aside from a small part of the crowd in the back by the kitchen that were talking, people just shut up and seemed awestruck by David's set. I have never seen that happen there with bigger crowds at The Mopery. They were really respectful, and well, it was Envenomist, so I expect to see people get swept up by the sound. And how interesting, following such a raging thrash/black metal set from Zath that immediately got the crowd going. What a fucking intense debut that was! Sightings nailed it, again. Simply a total powerhouse set. Great to see them again. Can't wait for tonight in Minneapolis! And Lechuguillas refused to let the party end... an even more exciting set than when AoH played with them at Cobra Lounge. I could easily see them touring with Sightings... it was a nice match-up of extreme noise-rock styles. Thanks to all of our friends who came out to support... There were several faces that we have not seen in ages and it is always flattering to have such a strong presence at our sporadic shows. Thanks to everyone at The Mopery for having us and for having to clean up after that meltdown. I am afraid to look at our gear. It was getting a bit muddy up front there. Not to mention the sweaty pipe rain by the merch table (ah, shades of the Flowershop). Speaking of, special thanks to Ms. Nicole, our new Directer of Retail/Merchandising. We wish that we could steal you away to Minneapolis. Thanks to Sightings for asking us to join in. Time to get everyone up and on the road...
