ANATOMY OF HABIT
Anatomy of Habit formed in Chicago in October 2008 and is composed of Alex Latus (guitar), Isidro Reyes (metal percussion), Skyler Rowe (drums), Mark Solotroff (vocals), and Sam Wagster (bass + lap steel). The band encompasses elements of doom metal, post-punk, death-rock, noise-rock, industrial, psychedelic, and shoegaze. The band's last album, "Ciphers + Axioms," was released by Relapse Records.
During the first week of January, we recorded our next album at Decade Music Studios, with Sanford Parker. We posted lots of photos and video clips on IG/FB and we're continuing to post lyric fragments from these songs. We'll be moving on to the mixing phase, shortly...

BLOODYMINDED
BLOODYMINDED is a heavy electronic band that was formed in New York, in 1995, after the dissolution of the pioneering American post-industrial noise group Intrinsic Action, which was founded by Mark Solotroff, in Chicago, in 1984. BLOODYMINDED’s live shows are exceptionally energetic and are characterized by physical engagement, layers of abrasive analog synthesizer, aggressive vocals, and abundant feedback. In a live context, BLOODYMINDED celebrate and deconstruct the rock and roll performance.
Our final show of 2019 was a wild one! Thanks to Matt and Justin from Thousands of Dead Gods for bringing us out to Brooklyn. Thanks to Rectal Hygienics, Pharmakon, and Shredded Nerve for joining us and for such powerful performances! And thanks to everyone who came out and packed Apt. 202 to the gills (rafters?) to support us! There are tons of photos and videos on IG/FB, but these photos shot by Jane Chardiet really capture the essence of our performance. Thanks, Jane! We're discussing plans for 2020, which we'll start sharing, as soon as some things solidify...

Ensemble Sacrés Garçons was initially billed as a collaboration between Iugula-Thor and Intrinsic Action (with support from Sshe Retina Stimulants) and we released our debut in 1995, on Old Europa Cafe, which you can stream here:

THE FORTIETH DAY
The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.

Nightmares is the synth trio of Jonathan Canady (Angel of Decay, Dead World, Deathpile, etc.), David Reed (Envenomist, Imvixor, Luasa Raelon, etc.) and Mark Solotroff (Anatomy of Habit, BLOODYMINDED, The Fortieth Day, Intrinsic Action, etc.)
The new Nightmares release, "Sub-Sonic Language Transmission," is at the duplication plant and should be in our hands soon. The printed elements (J-Card, 32-page book) are in-hand and they look excellent! We should be announcing the release date soon...

SUPER EIGHT LOOP
MINIMAL SYNTH MUSIC FOR ANALOG OBSESSIVES
Super Eight Loop is series of 100 hour-long analog synth recordings by Mark Solotroff, launched in 1993. Digitization of all 100 cassettes began in December 2018 and finished in December 2019.
I took a break over the holidays but I'm back at work on the illustrated S8L guidebook. All 100 recordings remain available to stream and/or download via Bandcamp.
