On Friday June 21st, there
was a party for "Open City"
at New York City's Whitney
Museum, with music provided
by contributors to the publication,
including groups such as
Pavement, Palace Brothers, and
Silver Jews. The organizers also
mixed in other favorites such as
the "Ghost Dog" soundtrack, the
Mamas and the Papas, and
Francoise Hardy. As Pieter has
already contributed to "Open
City," and I will have some
drawings published by them later
this year, they were kind enough
to include the BLOODYMINDED
track, "The Misbegotten Son,"
from "True Crime," in the
evening's soundtrack mix.
Special thanks go out to
Joanna and Jocko for distressing
the unsuspecting museum patrons!
