BloodLust! New Releases:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Artist: Slogun
Title: "Sacrifice Unto Me"
Format: Compact Disc in standard jewel case
Catalog Number: B!059 / C.O.S. 12
Genre: Power-Electronics / Industrial Noise

The release of "Sacrifice Unto Me" inaugurates the long-discussed "History of Violence" re-issue campaign by Slogun / Circle of Shit --- and BloodLust! is pleased to be a part of this series, as we are the label that released the earliest Slogun material in the mid-1990s (B!016 "Sacrifice Unto Me" cassette - 1996; B!023 "The Will to Kill" cassette - 1996; B!026 "Lustkiller" 7-inch - 1996). Even before the label was launched, John Balistreri was a member of Intrinsic Action, and he was resident DJ at some of the earliest BloodLust! live events. He has always been close to the label, with live shows, with an intense vocal contribution on the BLOODYMINDED "True Crime" CD (B!040, 2002) and with his recent 7-inch in our "private" series (B!053 "Bleached" - 2005). "Sacrifice Unto Me" was originally released in two quickly depleted limited editions: Circle of Shit 01 - C-60 - private edition of 10 copies (May 1996) and BloodLust! 016 - C-60 - edition of 50 copies (June 1996). The audio for this re-mastered CD version was carefully prepared in Lille, France, by Jerome Nougaillon, and John Balistreri's distinctive graphic design sets the standard for the rest of the re-issue campaign. This CD is packaged in a jewel box with a four-panel color, and black and white, booklet. True Crime Electronics - FTW.

Artist: Sshe Retina Stimulants
Title: "Morphic Aromas"
Format: White vinyl 7-inch
Catalog Number: B!058
Genre: Experimental / Industrial Noise

The eighth release in a series of private 7-inch singles:

"Morphic Aromas" marks the return of Sshe Retina Stimulants to BloodLust! after a long period of silence, and it continues a long musical relationship and friendship that dates back nearly 20 years. P.NG5361, known to some as Paolo Bandera, has been a vital part of the Italian electronic/industrial/noise scene since the early- to mid-1980s. As a founding member of Sigillum S, and as an essential component in both Iugula-Thor and The Sodality, Bandera has made an indelible mark on the post-industrial scene. Bandera is a composer, a collaborator, an explorer, and an archivist… and far more than just a noisemaker. His relationship to BloodLust! is a vital one. From the beginning, Bandera was more than just an artist on the label, even while he was involved in several key releases over the years. Bandera was present during the BLOODYMINDED “Trophy” mastering sessions in New York City in 1995, and he has a number of outstanding recordings to his credit on the label (B!002 Sshe Retina Stimulants "Sublimate" C-60 – 1996; B!021 Mark Solotroff + Sshe Retina Stimulants "Excellent Manipulation of Distorted Tape Death" 4 x C-90 – 1996; Sshe Retina Stimulants "Amplifiers" 7-inch – 1997; not to mention substantial involvement in the sound on the BLOODYMINDED “True Crime” CD – 2002). Bandera also played the role of A&R man when the label was being launched in the mid-1990s. He was specifically involved in arranging for a series of releases by a number of emerging and high-profile Japanese noise artists, including Aube, Killer Bug, K2, MSBR, and Pain Jerk. He was also directly involved with initiating connections between the label and what were, in the mid-1990s, a new crop of Italian electronic artists: namely, Atrax Morgue, Dead Body Love, and Murder Corporation. On his new 7-inch for BloodLust!, Bandera shows that his time away from the public eye (something that definitely seems about to change) has allowed for some major developments in his sound arsenal. The broader, and somewhat more eccentric sound palette that is established by this record may surprise those listeners who are used to the more characteristic Sshe Retina Stimulants frequency exploitation. We are very pleased to be a part of this regeneration.
