eBay - Celtic Frost

- Tons more stuff on eBay today... a real mix...

- Off to see Celtic Frost in a few minutes.

- "Hard Candy" just arrived from Netflix. Looking forward to that. "Somersault" was pretty good... a bit fairy-ish, at points, but solid. "The Hills Have Eyes" re-make/re-telling was pretty decent and fairly mean-spirited.

- Hive Mind sounded amazing on Thursday night! Coughs sounded really good at the Empty Bottle, too. Fun night. Really looking forward to October 13!

- Off to see Hive Mind, shortly, at the Empty Bottle, as part of the Wire magazine Adventures In Modern Music festival. The Coughs are also playing there tonight...

Reversible Eye redux

The photographs have re-appeared on the Reversible Eye Flickr page, starting midway down on page four.

AVD - Mail

- Last night, Isidro and I had another marathon A Vague Disquiet session. Things came out a bit heavier than on the previous night. Even though we were striving for the lighter touch of the minimal synth style, there was a bizarre shift into an early industrial zone. I already detected a bit of an early Cabaret Voltaire sound to our first batch of tracks (sort of), but last night, I was hearing a bit of Throbbing Gristle, S.P.K., etc., merging into the mix. Isidro's rhythm programming on these tracks is really primitive and stripped down. A couple of the songs are much more up-tempo than the Wierd Records compilation tracks.

- I am still finalizing all of the details for the next BLOODYMINDED show, but here is what I can tell you: Friday October 13, 2006. BLOODYMINDED - H
ive Mind - Cadaver In Drag - Moth Drakula - Charlie Draheim - Noise Nomads --- more details to follow...

- As of tonight, packages for all paid mail-order and eBay auctions - since Monday - will be sent out.

A Vague Disquiet sessions, etc.

- So, I guess that those Reversible Eye photos disappeared pretty quickly. I am looking into them re-appearing somehow.

- Tonight saw a really fruitful A Vague Disquiet session. We tested out some new rhythm tracks that Isidro has been working on. We are slowly working towards an LP, so results like tonight's are really encouraging. We plan to do some more work tomorrow, to keep the momentum going.

- Megan Emish is hard at work on the M.O. "Smooth Hate" 7-inch design. Once it is wrapped up, the silkscreening can be executed. Everything seems to be on schedule for the mid-October release.

- Cool show last night at Nihilist. Good to see Ghost Ice and Sick Llama again and nice to see Newton for the first time.

- Hive Mind will be playing at the Empty Bottle on Thursday, as part of the Wire magazine Adventures in Modern Music festival. Amazing! Om is playing there on Saturday, but Celtic Frost is in town that night, so I will probably opt for the nostalgic show...

- The eBay machine chugs onwards...
