It was -16 (F) earlier today. Christ. After two days of binging mostly on early The The singles, LPs, and miscellaneous tracks -- along with an unexplainable foray into the first few Alien Sex Fiend LPs -- I totally stand by the "Ignore the Machine" EP -- which led to random Batcave stuff (YouTube videos included) -- featuring, of course, the "Young Limbs and Numb Hymns" LP, which I can partially blame on the Test Dept. binging from last week -- it has been back to some old school power-electronics today... Mauthausen Orchestra, Consumer Electronics, Sutcliffe Jugend, random Come Org. stuff, M.B., etc., brought on by some questions from an interview that is currently in progress...
The timing looks really bad because of work stuff but I am angling to head back out for this...

Throbbing Gristle are set to play in Chicago for the first time... well, since Coum Transmissions performed here in November 1976 (at both Marianne Deson Gallery and at N.A.M.E. Gallery). The show is scheduled for April 25, 2009, at the Empty Bottle "satellite" venue, Epiphany (the Episcopalian church at 201 S. Ashland Avenue, at Adams). Early reports are of an afternoon set of "In the Shadow of the Sun" and evening show of greatest hits, album songs, etc...Let's see what sort of price tag this will carry... that is the sentiment that I have been hearing murmured over the last couple of days... Especially after the high cost and (inevitable) low return on the "Thirty-Second Annual Report"...
I just got back from the Post Office. All pending paid orders have been mailed out. Thanks to everyone who has already been in touch and who has supported the new 2009 releases. Battening down the hatches for this week's brutal cold wave. Lots of work to accomplish, for upcoming BloodLust! releases, the BLOODYMINDED album, etc.
