Mayor Daley played an excellent set last night at Memories (yep, that bar at Cicero and Montrose). Heavy, dark, precise... Also on the bill was engineer/producer extraordinaire Martin Bisi (Swans, Sonic Youth, Live Skull, Rat At Rat R, Cop Shoot Cop, Silverfish, Iggy Pop, etc.). He and his band played a weird set of lysergic rock/punk/prog/freakout. In attendance, the elusive Hector M. (always a pleasure!)
