Anatomy of Habit 8/7 Recap

Thanks to everyone who came out to Sunday night's Anatomy of Habit show. It was really nice to see so many friends there. I had a great time, both playing and watching the other bands, but I barely got to chat with anyone for more than a minute or two, so sorry about that! It was one of those nights where I was constantly on the move.  It was a really cool line-up to be a part of...  Metz cranked out a set of heavy and loud melodic noise-rock... a bit in the AmRep vein, I guess.  And Iceage tore through the songs on their album, filling the Empty Bottle with chiming guitars, anthemic chants, and feedback.  It was a different sort of show/energy, compared to Saturday's totally-mental set.  I was happy to be able to see them play twice over the weekend and it was fun to learn that there are some noise/power-electronics fans in the band, who know BloodLust! stuff, etc.  I was sorry that the Pharmakon/Deterge show in Minneapolis was canceled on Sunday but it was great to hang out with Margaret during the day -- at an epic English brunch -- and to see her at the AoH show.  Thanks to the Empty Bottle, as always, for hosting us. Patrick Scott did an amazing job with our sound, again, so major thanks to him!

Three weeks of downtime (ha!) before Mexico City...
