Mark Solotroff - Final shows of 2011
Two last dates coming up to close out the year:
I am happy to be joining Rabid Rabbit on "Suicide Song" this Sunday (12/11) when they open up for Psychic TV at Reggie's. The new Rabid Rabbit LP on BloodLust!, "Czarny Sen," will be available at the show: http://www.facebook.com/ events/210624042324275/
I have just been added to a small ensemble that will be performing with J.R. Robinson, AKA Wrekmeister Harmonies, at the Museum of Contemporary Art, on Tuesday December 27th at 6:00 PM -- as part of the MCA’s Face the Strange series. Robinson will be screening and conducting a live score to his video, "You’ve Always Meant So Much To Me." The current list of musicians published on the MCA's site includes Jef Whitehead, Blake Judd, Sanford Parker and Jamie Fennelly. More details soon...

Rabid Rabbit update
The Rabid Rabbit LPs were finally just delivered by UPS... merely the third UPS shipping screw-up in a row! The driver did not seem at all pleased about having to drive back out here at 6:30 PM with 18 cartons. Release update to follow, once the band gives these things the old tar-paper treatment...
AV Club Milwaukee on Anatomy of Habit
AoH did not exactly win over AV Club in Milwaukee, but it isn't all bad...

AoH at Lincoln Hall
Thanks to everyone who made it out to see us at Lincoln Hall last night! Sorry to those who could not get in due to the show selling out in advance. Big thanks to Patrick Scott for doing such a great job with our sound, as he always does. The stage/sound/production folks at Lincoln Hall were all cool to work with and it was a great stage/room to play on/in. It was a fun weekend of shows with Russian Circles and Young Widows and we appreciate that they had us on the bill with them the last two nights.

Anatomy Of Habit
Don’t believe the hype, this is not the new black metal project by Flying Luttenbachers people as promised. This is even better. Chicago underground galore. Totally awesome Swans-like postpunk, so dark and slow you don’t wanna come out of your cave. Be careful while listening to the new record.

AoH in Milwaukee
Anatomy of Habit had a great night in Milwaukee last night! As we were finishing our set, Cactus Club was already turning people away who did not pre-order tickets...amazing! It was great to play to a full house. Young Widows win the award for coolest Emperor cabinets that I have seen/heard. Russian Circles completely captivated the audience. It will be interesting to see how the transition from a small club to a small theater works tonight... FYI, we played "After The Water" and "Radiate And Recede"... about a 25-minute set? We met some nice folks up there who responded well to our music, which was cool. It was good to have a couple of friends in the audience, too! Thanks to James and Brad for coming out to support us. Thanks to Mariah for driving up to photograph us! We hope to see a bunch of friends out at Lincoln Hall tonight...
