BloodymindedBloodlust! : 2008
Format: CDr

This is a re-release on CDr of a cassette that was originally released in 2007 and sold out. Two tracks clocking in at just under 30 minutes each from PE überman Mark Solotroff on his very own Bloodlust! label.

Part 1 begins with a muted static roar while subtle synth hums erupt from below. The wall of noise gradually reaches a crescendo and then back to where we began. There seems to be some vocals layered somewhere in the mix. This is a definite headphone listen for the full effect.

Part 2 is what I’d imagine a thirty minute subway ride sounds like to a fetus, warm bassy rumbles and coursing blood cells...a total zone out for me.

This is a very subdued offering, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in power. A lot of artists tend to equate volume with muscle, but that’s not always the case. This one is definitely worth your time, money and repeated listens.
