BloodymindedBloodlust! : 2008
Format: CDr

This is a re-release on CDr of a cassette that was originally released in 2007 and sold out. Two tracks clocking in at just under 30 minutes each from PE ├╝berman Mark Solotroff on his very own Bloodlust! label.

Part 1 begins with a muted static roar while subtle synth hums erupt from below. The wall of noise gradually reaches a crescendo and then back to where we began. There seems to be some vocals layered somewhere in the mix. This is a definite headphone listen for the full effect.

Part 2 is what I’d imagine a thirty minute subway ride sounds like to a fetus, warm bassy rumbles and coursing blood cells...a total zone out for me.

This is a very subdued offering, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in power. A lot of artists tend to equate volume with muscle, but that’s not always the case. This one is definitely worth your time, money and repeated listens.
