ANATOMY OF HABIT
Anatomy of Habit formed in Chicago in October 2008 and is composed of Alex Latus (guitar), Isidro Reyes (metal percussion), Skyler Rowe (drums), Mark Solotroff (vocals), and Sam Wagster (bass + lap steel). The band encompasses elements of doom metal, post-punk, death-rock, noise-rock, industrial, psychedelic, and shoegaze. The band's last album, "Ciphers + Axioms," was released by Relapse Records.
We received updated mixes from Sanford Parker last weekend and we're finalizing our notes for him so that we can wrap things up and move on to mastering.
Our show with Liturgy and Leya at the Empty Bottle remains scheduled for August 21, pending changes to stay-at-home orders, Liturgy's tour plans, etc.

BLOODYMINDED
BLOODYMINDED is a heavy electronic band that was formed in New York, in 1995, after the dissolution of the pioneering American post-industrial noise group Intrinsic Action, which was founded by Mark Solotroff, in Chicago, in 1984. BLOODYMINDED’s live shows are exceptionally energetic and are characterized by physical engagement, layers of abrasive analog synthesizer, aggressive vocals, and abundant feedback. In a live context, BLOODYMINDED celebrate and deconstruct the rock and roll performance.
The foundations of ten new songs are shaping up very nicely, as band members have been sharing their work over the past few weeks. We'll keep assembling things remotely until we're ready to head into the studio with Sanford Parker to work on "amplified" sounds, vocals, and mixing.

ENSEMBLE SACRÉS GARÇONS
Ensemble Sacrés Garçons was initially billed as a collaboration between Iugula-Thor and Intrinsic Action (with support from Sshe Retina Stimulants) and we released our debut in 1995, on Old Europa Cafe.
Following the mastering stage with Collin Jordan at The Boiler Room, in Chicago, our forthcoming LP, "Demonization: These Worldly Powers," was sent to Smashed Plastic, a pressing plant in Chicago that opened in 2019. Cover artwork is still in progress but we anticipate working with a Chicago screen printer on that element..

THE FORTIETH DAY
The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.
The first two shows that we played in front of a live audience were both released on cassette in 2007 and once they sold out they weren't available to hear, until now. I digitized and remastered the tapes and Isidro and I will be re-releasing them on CD/Digital at the end of the month. The test CDs arrived last week and they look and sound good. Like the cassettes, theses CDs include the complete live recordings, as well as processed versions of the shows, in the vein of SCTL.

INTRINSIC ACTION
Intrinsic Action was an industrial/power-electronics band, founded by Mark Solotroff in 1984, in Chicago, and dissolved in 1995, in New York, when BLOODYMINDED began.
The forthcoming CD of recordings from 1984 - "Early Action" - was just sent to Collin Jordan at The Boiler Room, for mastering. I'm anticipating a release sometime this summer. In the meantime, the self-titled CD of 1985 material is finding its way further into the world...
