So, I have had a couple of complete listens to the forthcoming Wierd Compilation Volume II : Analogue Electronic Music 2008 four LP set, which arrived yesterday, from Pieter. The tracks flow in such an amazing way -- which is no small feat -- trying to combine minimal synth and experimental/noise/synth stuff -- spread out over 140+ minutes. I think that a lot of people are going to be blown away by how well these worlds mesh -- united by the analog synth (and including an essay on just that subject. The PDF proofs of the artwork and the extensive booklet look fantastic, too. I believe it goes to the pressing plant/printer tomorrow, so it should not be too long now...
