Buy a six pack, find the unmarked steel door on Milwaukee Ave between the glasses store and the fruit market near the Logan Square blue line stop, open it, and follow the concrete stairs behind. Take a deep breath of the cigarette smoke and sweat. Saturday marks the final chance to witness some of the area's best noise, garage, punk, and otherwise unclassifiable bands at the Mopery, one of the area's most unique and soon-to-be lost havens for alternative music. Prepare for a packed crowd. The current lineup includes 13 serious acts, including Chicago art-rock pioneers ONO and Lechuguillas' quick-rise avant racket. Don't forget some ear plugs.
