Things are a little calmer this week, after a busy week of shows, releases, etc. That said, BLOODYMINDED has a new single out now, with live tracks from our May record release show. We've also had a new show announced that we're really excited about... I managed to get four Super Eight Loop remasters finished, despite last week's Anatomy of Habit shows, and the 2006 recordings are definitely sounding very different than the 90s work I did. Thanks to those of you who are following along! AoH has a break from live shows until late-September, and we'll be busy writing until then. I recently remixed a song by The Body, and their new remix album was just announced.

ANATOMY OF HABIT
Anatomy of Habit formed in Chicago in October 2008 and is composed of Alex Latus (guitar), Isidro Reyes (metal percussion), Skyler Rowe (drums), Mark Solotroff (vocals), and Sam Wagster (bass + lap steel). The band encompasses elements of doom metal, post-punk, death-rock, noise-rock, industrial, psychedelic, and shoegaze. The band's last album, "Ciphers + Axioms," was released by Relapse Records.

Due to a scheduling conflict, Sam wasn't able to play the Milwaukee show, but we were able to work with Marc Stranger-Najjar from Huntsmen, who sat in on bass. We're really grateful that Marc helped us out, in a pinch, spending time learning songs for a couple of weeks, so that the show could go on. Thanks, Marc!

BLOODYMINDED
BLOODYMINDED is a heavy electronic band that was formed in New York, in 1995, after the dissolution of the pioneering American post-industrial noise group Intrinsic Action, which was founded by Mark Solotroff, in Chicago, in 1984. BLOODYMINDED’s live shows are exceptionally energetic and are characterized by physical engagement, layers of abrasive analog synthesizer, aggressive vocals, and abundant feedback. In a live context, BLOODYMINDED celebrate and deconstruct the rock and roll performance.
Our new single "Essential Humanity" is now available to download and stream via all major digital platforms, including Bandcamp, iTunes, Google, Amazon, Spotify, etc. The four-song single contains the baleful, rhythmically based track, taken from our new album, along with live versions of three album tracks, which were recorded at our May 25th record release show at Sleeping Village in Chicago.

THE FORTIETH DAY
The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.
