Hi. I'm getting ready to head to New York with BLOODYMINDED for the two-day event organized by Justin and Matt and Thousands of Dead Gods. It'll be at TVEye. Advance tickets for Friday night are gone, but the venue said there'll be limited tickets at the door.
I was just in Italy and I was so happy to spend a lot of time with old friends, bandmates, collaborators... including Paolo Bandera, Andrea Chiaravalli, and Andrea Cernotto. We discussed upcoming releases and future plans, and I delivered CDs of current and upcoming releases.
In case you missed my last email with the press release from EarsplitPR, my forthcoming album with my friend JR (Wrekmeister Harmonies) - as The Mercury Impulse - was announced. We're excited for people to hear it and we've got one song streaming now on our Bandcamp page.
Things continue to be busy, especially in the production/pressing realm, and I've dropped more details below.

Anatomy of HabitFormed in Chicago in 2008, ANATOMY OF HABIT has been described as a hybrid of doom metal, post-punk, death-rock, early-industrial, psychedelic, and shoegaze. Although they’ve experienced significant membership changes since forming, today’s band, which includes Alex Latus (guitar), Isidro Reyes (metal percussion), Skyler Rowe (drums), Mark Solotroff (vocals), and Sam Wagster (bass + lap steel), represents their longest-standing and most prolific lineup. The band credits their treasured chemistry to their intertwining histories as friends and collaborators. Rowe and Latus have made music together since they were teenagers, growing up in Indianapolis’ heavy music scene, while playing in the band Still. Rowe and Wagster create sweeping, pastoral instrumental music together in Mute Duo. Reyes and Solotroff are old friends who’ve played together for many years and they continue to record and perform in both BLOODYMINDED and The Fortieth Day. We received our album master from Collin Jordan (The Boiler Room) and it sounds excellent! As I previously mentioned, we're putting together a special vinyl edition, along with the usual CD and cassette versions, and our friend and designer Jonathan Canady is once again collaborating with us. More news as things progress...

Mark Solotroff formed the band Intrinsic Action in 1984 and he's a founding member of Anatomy Of Habit and BLOODYMINDED. His other bands include The Fortieth Day, A Vague Disquiet, Ensemble Sacrés Garçons, and Nightmares. He recorded 100 cassettes of analog synth music under the name Super Eight Loop and he releases synth-based and feedback system music under his own name.

The Sodality
Originally created in 1984 by Andrea Cernotto and Pierpaolo Zoppo, The Sodality bloomed under Andrea‘s guidance across seminal works in the 80's and 90's. The project was revived by original members Paolo Bandera and Eraldo Bernocchi for a 2014 concert in Rome, with Mark Solotroff on vocals, and again in 2023, for a live show in Dresden, and new recordings with that line-up, along with founding member Andrea Cernotto.
I spent time with Andrea Cernotto while I was in Italy, along with Paolo Bandera, and we discussed potential future plans for The Sodality. Happily, our work doesn't seem to be done just yet...
