This past week has been filled with cracking open numerous boxes of master tapes and recordings on cassette, CD, minidisc, etc., initially with the aim of finally getting started on the overhaul of my Super Eight Loop recordings. I also got wrapped up with a "fun" BLOODYMINDED project. Read on...

- While I was digging through numerous boxes of master tapes, I found a couple of live recordings that I wanted to listen to, as it had been years since I had heard them. More details soon, but here are some blunt clues about the results of what followed:
- I still have a little more design work to do for the forthcoming BLOODYMINDED LP/CD and then I'll hand it off to Megan Emish.

- The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.

- David, Jonathan and I are continuing our work on the first new Nightmares music in over ten years. We've all been sharing tracks, David has sent us some rough mixes, and I'm really excited by our progress. We're continuing to document our progress and post images on FB and IG.
- Nightmares is the synth trio of Jonathan Canady (Angel of Decay, Dead World, Deathpile, etc.), David Reed (Envenomist, Imvixor, Luasa Raelon, etc.) and Mark Solotroff (Anatomy of Habit, BLOODYMINDED, The Fortieth Day, Intrinsic Action, etc.)

- Last week, I finally got started on the long-overdue process of digitizing the Super Eight Loop tapes. A big part of the delay was conceptual in nature, which I'll explain in more detail later, but a part of me had trouble coming to terms with these recordings existing in the digital world. Stay tuned for more details...
