The dig through boxes of archival recordings continues. I've been listening to Intrinsic Action live recordings, as well as some early radio interviews, and I'm honing in on a plan. I made a lot of progress with work on Ensemble Sacrés Garçons over the past two weeks, and Super Eight Loop is trucking along. More news below...
The "Mystery Box" continues to gain in popularity and I've been enjoying packing them up for those who've already ordered them. I've been digging up some cool old flyers, etc., to include, including things from the 80s and 90s, from labels like Cold Meat Industry,Tesco, Artware, Cthulhu Records, Front De L'Est, etc. Thanks to those who've already played along!

Last week, I finally delivered all of the artwork, band photos, thumbnail diagrams, and notes for our new album to Megan Emish, and she is getting the final LP and CD packaging design underway. The vinyl will be a 2LP in a gatefold jacket and the CD will be an 8-panel digipkak, similar to "Within The Walls," "Gift Givers," and the re-issue of "True Crime."
I really appreciate the great feedback, along with the personal anecdotes, that people are sharing, related to the two live BLOODYMINDED recordings from our 2005 and 2006 performances at No Fun Fest.

We received the final mixes of our demos from Matt Russell and we were happy to send them to Relapse. We've had initial conversations with Sanford Parker, who recorded "Ciphers + Axioms" (and the last two BLOODYMINDED albums), about how to tackle recording the album. More to follow... We've got practice tonight and hopefully the space will be as toasty as it usually is, because it's freezing in Chicago!. Here's a collage from last week's practice.

Intrinsic Action was an industrial/power-electronics band, founded by Mark Solotroff in 1984, in Chicago, and dissolved in 1995, in New York, when BLOODYMINDED began.

The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.
