I'm back from Milan and the Ensemble Sacrés Garçons show and recording session, which all went extremely well. I'm getting my next solo release wrapped up, while Anatomy of Habit is playing tomorrow. I'm looking forward to getting back to Super Eight Loop, later this week. Let's go...

THE FORTIETH DAY
The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.

MARK SOLOTROFF
The test cassette for "The Myth of Community" arrived while I was gone and after a few listens, I approved it, so the edition should be arriving in about a week.
It'll be packaged in a 5" x 7" poly clam shell album with a wraparound cover and it'll include a pin and a download code.

ENSEMBLE SACRÉS GARÇONS
The past week and a half in Milan was excellent, and I'm really pleased with how our recording sessions and our concert went. I'm grateful to Andrea and Paolo for all of their hard work organizing everything, prior to my arrival, and for devoting so much time to making this collaboration go off without a hitch. Thanks also to Corrado of Uncodified and Nicola of Fecalove, for their powerful, excellent performances on Friday! It was great to see many old friends, as well as to meet lots of new people, while I was there. I'm still organizing my photos, but here are some images from Instagram, for the moment...
       
Ensemble Sacrés Garçons was initially billed as a collaboration between Iugula-Thor and Intrinsic Action (with support from Sshe Retina Stimulants) and we released our debut in 1995, on Old Europa Cafe, which you can stream here:

NIGHTMARES
David has been sending new edits to us and the tracks are sounding excellent. Things are really progressing nicely and we're starting to discuss artwork, titles, etc.
Nightmares is the synth trio of Jonathan Canady (Angel of Decay, Dead World, Deathpile, etc.), David Reed (Envenomist, Imvixor, Luasa Raelon, etc.) and Mark Solotroff (Anatomy of Habit, BLOODYMINDED, The Fortieth Day, Intrinsic Action, etc.)
