October 9, 2019 Update

OCTOBER 9, 2019 UPDATE

This Sunday, BLOODYMINDED plays at Co-Prosperity Sphere with Pharmakon and Itsi. We anticipate showing up with a strong lineup. Our next show was just announced and tickets go on sale on Friday. We'll be playing with Burial Hex and NIKA, an exciting new solo effort from Nika Roza Danilova/Zola Jesus. The show will be held at the International Museum of Surgical Science in the striking Hall of Immortals. There will only be 100 tickets available, so it's best not to hesitate on this if you're interested. We'll have one final 2019 show to announce, soon... Anatomy of Habit is gearing up for our two upcoming shows, including our first trip to Madison, WI. I've completed four more Super Eight Loop re-masters and I've been listening carefully to a new set of mixes for the forthcoming Ensemble Sacrés Garçons album... the songs sound excellent and we should be shifting to mastering ASAP.

BLOODYMINDED

BLOODYMINDED is a heavy electronic band that was formed in New York, in 1995, after the dissolution of the pioneering American post-industrial noise group Intrinsic Action, which was founded by Mark Solotroff, in Chicago, in 1984. BLOODYMINDED’s live shows are exceptionally energetic and are characterized by physical engagement, layers of abrasive analog synthesizer, aggressive vocals, and abundant feedback. In a live context, BLOODYMINDED celebrate and deconstruct the rock and roll performance.

THE FORTIETH DAY

The Fortieth Day is the duo of Isidro Reyes and Mark Solotroff, both key players in the heavy-electronics outfit BLOODYMINDED, a band known for its aggressive and confrontational live shows. In The Fortieth Day, Reyes and Solotroff utilize guitar, bass, drum machine, and analog synthesizer to create epic, blackened, psychedelic-industrial drone soundscapes.

We recently delivered a new master to Sergio Sanchez at Ruido Horrible in Mexico City and we're currently working with him on artwork and packaging design. More news soon...

MARK SOLOTROFF

I recently remixed The Body's song "Denial Of The Species" for their new remix album, which is now available to pre-order from Thrill Jockey. Digital is out this Friday (10/11) and vinyl will be released on 10/25:

The Body "Remixed"
http://www.thrilljockey.com/products/remixed

Emblematic of their love for the collaborative process, The Body chose to celebrate their 20th anniversary with a special limited double LP of remixes from their previous albums, simply titled Remixed, and including a deluxe poster cataloguing the nearly 100 shirts the band have printed in their career. The artists selected to for the remixes include longtime friends, artists who The Body have influenced or been influenced by, and artists with whom the band share a mutual respect.

Coming soon:
